Falling tree branches

I don’t know what’s wrong with the tree but quite big branches are falling of the tree in my garden and the leaves on the tree looks like they are dead i have a 2 year old granddaughter who plays in my garden and im frightened and branch will full on her head the tree looks like it’s dying
