Crombie Rd used as rat run

Reported via desktop in the Traffic bollard category anonymously at 09:56, Wednesday 6 May 2026

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 9407107.

Hi, apologies I selected the bollard option only because I couldn't find any other appropriate option. Crombie Rd is the only local side road without speedbumps. It is therefore used as a rat run and cars frequently speed here throughout the day and night. This is a quiet road with families and kids. I reported this before to you and the response essentially was that the road hasn't had any official incidents so statistically it is a safe road - which I understand. If you are not able to put speed bumps please could you consider putting up signs at both ends of the road reminding drivers that the speed limit is 30mph? People really go flying down this road and it is only a matter of time before there is an accident. I know residents of Crombie Rd would be really grateful if there was anything you could do - Thank you.
