Pavement

Reported via mobile in the Damaged pavement category anonymously at 14:48, Tuesday 5 May 2026

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 9402917.

Dear Highways / Tree Maintenance Team,

I am writing to request inspection and maintenance of the street tree located outside 43-45 Norfolk crescent

The tree is currently producing excessive sap which is accumulating heavily on parked vehicles and across the pavement. The issue has become persistent and is causing:

Significant sap deposits on vehicles, which can damage paintwork and clear coat if not removed promptly Sticky pavement conditions affecting pedestrian use Ongoing maintenance and cleaning costs for residents Concerns that the tree may require pruning or inspection due to the severity of the sap production

In addition, the pavement in the immediate area appears to be [lifting/uneven/damaged/slippery], which may present an accessibility or trip hazard.

I have attached photographs showing:

The affected tree Sap accumulation on vehicles Pavement condition The surrounding area

Given the ongoing nature of the issue and the impact on residents and pedestrians, I would appreciate:

An inspection of the tree Consideration of pruning or maintenance works Assessment of any pavement or highway safety concerns

Please confirm receipt of this report and advise what action can be taken.
