Large Tree Overhanging Property – Request for Inspection

Dear Tree Officer,

I’m writing to report a large mature tree located in the council park behind my property (DA15 8JU), which is significantly overhanging into my garden.

The canopy extends approximately 5–6 metres over my boundary and is now covering structures including a shed and fence line. Due to the size and lateral spread of the branches, I am concerned about the weight distribution and the potential risk of limb failure, particularly during periods of high winds.

Given the extent of the overhang and the proximity to structures, I would appreciate it if this tree could be inspected with a view to carrying out appropriate works, such as a crown reduction or balancing, to reduce the risk.

I am not referring to minor overhang, but a substantial portion of the canopy extending into my property.
