Tree branches beginning to over hang onto property
Reported via desktop in the Street category anonymously at 16:17, Wednesday 8 April 2026
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 9259325.
I am writing to raise a concern about a tree located near my property that has been causing ongoing issues, particularly during the summer months.
Each year, the tree’s dense foliage significantly blocks sunlight from reaching my garden, which makes it difficult to maintain healthy grass and plants. In addition, the tree’s roots appear to be spreading into my garden and have caused a noticeable dip in the middle of the lawn, creating an uneven surface.
More recently, the branches have started to extend and hang over my property, which is becoming an increasing concern.
I would be grateful if the council could assess the situation and advise on whether any action, such as pruning or root management, could be taken to help resolve these issues.
Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response.
