Abandoned Car and Debris

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 9250315.

On 2nd April this car, the subject of a crash, was placed in a parking bay by a recovery lorry displaying a notice regarding hazardous material. The attending recovery vehicle discharged oily liquid on to the road then left the scene. On the same day this issue was reported to the Council, reference 9229191. To date (7/4) no action has been taken by the Council, however, the Fire Department attended and deposited sand on the significant oily patch. This car needs removing and the street cleaned accordingly. Residents are complaining about the condition of the of the road, therefore, we kindly ask the Council to assess the situation and take the appropriate action.

    In respect of this issue I should be grateful to learn the outcome of the investigation and what action is being proposed by the Council to rectify the issue.

    The abandoned car is obstructing a valuable parking space thereby causing inconvenience to legitimate owners of parking permits.

    The car needs removing, the deposited sand needs clearing and the road cleaned accordingly.
