Metal & plastic embedded in tarmac
Reported via desktop in the Damaged road category anonymously at 23:11, Tuesday 10 March 2026
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 9084216.
Plastic and metal (steel wire) is embedded in the St Katherines Road carriageway following a van fire several months ago and causes a hazard to vehicles and vehicle tyres when driven over. Drivers will swerve across the carriageway to drive on the wrong side to avoid it, irrespective of oncoming traffic. A similar problem exists from an earlier vehicle fire in the parking bay in the corner approximately 100 yards to the north - although this one only affects anyone parking in the corner bay.
