Island with no luminous sign causing collisions
Reported via desktop in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 22:18, Saturday 10 January 2026
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 8659402.
A vehicle crashed into the central road island 30/12 removing the luminous markers on the raised island that show it is there. Within 10 mins 3 other people hit the raised island or went over it so I immediately reported it to you and the police attending the accident. Nothing has been done except a cone was placed on it. I don't know if this was by any of you or a member of the public. This morning the cone was gone. Since coming home this evening 1 vehicle has already collided with the island having not seen it. I told you on 30/12 I believed this would cause another accident and still nothing has been done.
