Exposed manhole

There's an exposed manhole on the junction of Glenview, Amberley Road and Leckwith Avenue. This seems to have been gradually becoming more exposed as the road surface around it is worn away by vehicles turning at the junction. I've no idea what is underneath this particular manhole as it's an unusual round one so no idea if it could become damaged being hit so many times by vehicles or could potentially damage tyres.
