Various Pot Holes, areas of road surface sunk & erupted joins in road surface

Reported via desktop in the Damaged road category by Paul Califano at 02:58, Wednesday 5 November 2025

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 8377618.

I have been advised by my solicitor to report this on here even though David Leaf is already aware of the issues we are facing:

Since the introduction of the new electric bus and any other heavy truck passes our houses, things in my and various neighbours houses vibrate. Even my wardrobe doors vibrate when a heavy vehicle passes. I have already had dealings with David Leaf who confirmed the electric buses are somewhat heavier than the diesel ones but TFL is avoiding responsibility as it is, apparently, within their weight limits. I and several of my neighbours feel this is extremely unacceptable as it has already caused a crack to appear in the wall of my house and other neighbours are experiencing similar. A few weeks ago, the road work men started about 10 houses down from my house and stripped the surface down to Sherwood Park Avenue and then resurfaced it which sorted the vibrations for that end of the road (as I had previously knocked on doors, the majority of whom were experiencing vibrations) and I thought they would do our end (Blackfen Road down to where they had already resurfaced but they just cleared off. If this end of the road is not sorted out to stop the vibrations in our houses, I (and probably several of my neighbours) intend suing the L.B Bexley for the damage to our houses as I have spent a hell of a lot of money on my house to get it looking the way I want it to look only for other people to damage it.
