Urgent Concerns Regarding Abandoned Vehicle

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned and untaxed vehicles category anonymously at 09:41, Tuesday 4 November 2025

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 8373795.

There is a vehicle that has been left unattended in the area for a considerable period. Despite having reported this issue twice previously, no action appears to have been taken. Most recently, the rear window of the car has been smashed, and there are fireworks present inside the vehicle. This development significantly increases the risk associated with the abandoned car. It is highly probable that local children could throw a live firework into the car, which would likely result in the vehicle catching fire. Given that there is petrol, oil, and tyres inside, the danger is substantial. The abandoned car is positioned next to a fence. Should it catch fire, the flames could easily spread to the fence, the adjacent garden room, and potentially the house itself. This situation represents a serious accident waiting to happen. If no action is taken soon, particularly now that the issue has been repeatedly raised, responsibility for any resulting incident will, in part, rest with those who have been informed but have not responded.
