Asian hornets

There is a nest of what looks like Asian hornets forming in the dead limb scar of an oak tree off the pathway in danson park at the location shown.
Enter the gate via lakeside close, walk approx 75 yards to the first live oak tree set back off the road on the right, they hornets are nesting in a limb scar approx 8 feet off the ground facing the road. There is a potential danger to park users walking past as there is a lot of hornet activity around the new nest

The report has been inspected by a member of the Grounds Maintenance Team . The inspection concluded that the standard of hedge does meet the Council’s criteria and will be cut as part of the Council’s hedge cutting programme.
