Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 7814424.
Severe damage caused by lorries mounting pavement to make turn in on multiple occasions. As a result, apart from damage to the kerbstone, two manholes have been displaced and some of the water meters within are now exposed. The pavement is impassable. This issue has occurred before and will again unless the council takes appropriate action.
The underling problem is the result of the council failing to head warnings from residents who told them the turn-in was too tight for long vehicles. In practice long vehicles have to mount the pavement to make the turn on occasion. This practice should be stopped immediately and the property owners instructed to prevent it, but the only long term solution is to bar the use of this turn in by lorries per se. The owners of the building should reconfigure the building to make this possible. There is a huge car park that is underused at the other end of the property - that should be made the goods entrance for this building at the property owner's expense.
