The play equipment in the park is no longer fit for purpose, broken equipment causing a safeguarding issue for children of all ages. Children trying to use the equipment appropriately are being injured as maintenance has not been performed for several years: • Roundabout doesnt even spin and the wood is all lifting • Rubber mulch is broken in many places around the playground aswel as my own children i have seen many other children trip of all different ages. • The rocker spring is still exposed & this hasnt been fixed in 5 years • the 2nd small red slide / climb equipment is still broken. Small children dont understand not to always use it. • the platforms on the centre bigger climbing frame have been broken and not replaced Local families are in need of this space as a community centre for children to play safely and learn social skills.
