Unclear and dangerous “give way” at mini roundabout.
Reported via desktop in the Other street defect category anonymously at 15:28, Thu 24 April 2025
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 7476406.
The exit from Rectory Lane to the mini roundabout with Sidcup Hill/High Street has a chunky broken white line which I believe means “give way to traffic from the right”. There is no “give way” triangle painted on the road. The exit from Sidcup High Street (towards Sidcup Hill with Rectory Lane to the left) has the chunky broken white line plus a give way triangle on the road but the only signage on the lamp post is a blue roundabout sign. My experience is that because Sidcup Hill is “straight on” from the High Street, drivers often ignore the painted triangle, so don’t stop or give way to traffic emerging from Rectory Lane. The signage is confusing and inadequate.
