Dip/defect o/s 155 Days Lane Sidcup

Reported via desktop in the Damaged road category anonymously at 15:52, Thursday 20 March 2025

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 7310680.

I would like to log a complaint about an issue we have been experiencing for quite a while now, and we feel we can't put up with it any longer.

We live in Days Lane (DA15 8JT) and there is a dip/defect in the road outside our house which means that every time a heavy electric B13 bus travels fast down our road the weight of the bus travelling over the dip causes our house to actually shake. This is particularly felt in the front bedroom and the impact causes the room to move and the handles on our furniture to rattle. We have been monitoring for a while wondering initially what on earth was causing the movement, and we know that it doesn't happen when lorries or other large vehicles drive over the same dip in the road. I can only assume that the electric B13 is extra heavy. It's actually a wake-up call for us when the first bus of the morning drives fast past our house.

We are now becoming worried about the damage that is being caused to our property by the constant movement.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible who might be able to look into this complaint for us and how this issue can be resolved.
