Badly managed roadworks
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6577005.
Roadworks with badly timed traffic lights, causing huge delays on both approaches resulting in the the complete gridlock of both nearby roundabouts. Situation especially bad during rush hour, with delays back westbound to Northend Road and eastbound to Dartford train station, and back along Bob Dunn Way to junction 1A with the M25. The roadworks are reportedly the responsibility of UK Power Networks (Works reference: EC40038771520, Permit reference: EC40038771520-01) started 10th September initially for 2 weeks, which has since been extended 3 times (works now totalling 6 weeks), however I have never observed anyone actually working on the site. I personally work a few hundred yards from this location. It surely cannot be acceptable for a utility company to distrupt a major transport artery to this degree and for this length of time. Local businesses and residents are being severely inconvenienced.
