Uneven and damaged pavement outside #9
Reported via desktop in the Damaged pavement category anonymously at 20:39, Tue 30 July 2024
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6295506.
The handling of this issue is a complete joke by those responsible. This presents a major trip hazard to people, especially anyone with vision issues, and is completely resolvable by now. This is 2 years outstanding. Background, Crane employed by the house owner provided inadequate protection to path for the crane's weight. The vehicle collapsed through pavement destroying power cable and cutting power. Repairs left this mess. This is not rocket science to resolve. The crane company is liable as is ultimately the person employing them if the crane company do not pay. Council restore the pavement and send the person employing them the bill and they can resolve with the crane company / their insurers. It really makes me sick when taxpayers and the public have to suffer for other people's selfishness, negligence, and lazy incompetent council officials fail to follow up and do their job despite being well paid and on decent pensions. Something is fundamentally wrong with this country. FIX THIS PAVEMENT AND HOLD THOSE ACCOUNTABLE TO ACCOUNT!
