Investigating
The lower and upper paths east-side
Reported via desktop in the Shrubs and Hedge category anonymously at 19:01, Sunday 21 July 2024
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6257231.
The path is totally overgrown. I know that everyhting has grown like mad this spring and summer due tot the rain, but this is crazy. 100s of people should be using these paths everyday, including school kids, but most people must have given up. Personally for me it is now unsafe. My legs are stinging and scratched from the plants. It is no longer safe. The overgrowth needs slashing back 1 foot in the clear bits (minimum), and at least 3 foot in the blocked bits. The lower path should easily be able to take a pushchair! this has been like this for at least a month.

Upper path, as clearly not cleared we left. It's a shame people are not being allowed to walk round half the park. Also you've made 5 times more work for yourselves by not clearing back in May.

Good to see works have been done (rather half heartedly, but done). Appreciate as it was left soooo long, it was a bigger job than it should have been. Would advise you schedule in for next April further cutting back to get the paths fully safe and accessible.
