Unsafe playground floor

Reported via desktop in the Accidents category anonymously at 14:24, Tue 25 June 2024

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6152935.

The playground at Falconwood The Green is in firm need of an update generally, the park looks tired and dated despite being a very popular and well-used space.

Specifically, however, the flooring underfoot is dangerous in that there are changes in the height of the flooring but the dark colour means you cannot easily see the change and this causes trips. My wife tripped and fell 2 years ago, whilst pregnant, and more recently my 6 year old son tripped on this change of flooring yesterday and cut his head on the slide nearby. This resulted in a laceration and an A&E visit.

I very much appreciate budgets are tight however consider how widely used this playground it means addressing, and this dangerous element resolved, please.

I am happy to meet with your teams that will hopefully assess this issue as it can easily be overlooked by an adult, please let me know.
