Footpath 130 Bexley is overgrown

Reported via desktop in the Shrubs and Hedge category anonymously at 10:14, Tue 25 June 2024

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6151049.

Dear All,

This footpath is now so overgrown that it is causing a health and safety issue.

As it is a very busy footpath we now have to stop whilst we let other people pass by. This results in having to walk in the hedge area at times getting caught up in the brambles which will result in someone falling especially the older generation. I almost tripped on the vegetation that is now taking over the place.

If there is a cyclist or runner coming behind they have to alert us by either their bicycle bell or not at all as the case may be. Not all of us have super hearing .This will prove useless for people who are hard of hearing and may eventually RESULT in someone getting hurt by causing an accident.

There are people who have dogs and once again we have to wait until they move past . This is so uncomfortable as some of the dogs look quite vicious and the less close up we have with them the better.

Can you now please give this your urgent attention and get someone out to cut this overgrown disruptive area . WE are entitled to enjoy this walk instead of it turning into an obstacle course.

Thanks. dp.
