Missing Signage, Public Hazard - Keep Dogs on Leads

Reported via mobile in the Signs category by Tom Sikorski at 11:58, Tue 18 June 2024

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 6122041.

Every day, I witness residents ignoring the public safety rules related to keeping dogs on the leads. This is specifically applicable to irresponsible 'dog walkers' who take many dogs to the park and let them loose. One of the reasons is the lack of clear signage. There are many vulnerable people in the park, including children and the elderly. Some of these dogs can cause serious harm if not kept on the leads all the time. If an accident occurs because of missing or inadequate signage, the council could be held legally liable. This can lead to lawsuits and financial compensation claims, as well as damage to the council's reputation. Not to mention the loss of life or body harm. Please install clear signage at each entrance to the park. Please do not ignore this message.
