Footpath not cleaned since February
Reported via mobile in the Footway / carriageway category anonymously at 10:05, Sat 11 May 2024
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 5958964.
On February 25, I reported a dog fouling issue on the footpath to the right at the entrance to Hawthorne Terrace (the road). FixMyStreet ref: 5627215. Few days later I received a response that it was not found or cleaned next day etc. However, the fouling was never cleaned and has dispersed due to rain and weather. Someone later tried to cover this nuisance with tissue paper. Lots of children pass this place as there is a Taekwando academy there. The picture is taken today May 11, 2024 of the same fouling after the weather has done its part over the last 2-3months. More critically, it shows that the footpath has never been cleaned over this long period because if cleaned, noway this would have been missed. I think this is not an isolated issue but a common theme in this area. I would urge the council to kindly look into the accountability of the contractors and ensure proper inspection of the work undertaken by them. More than a complaint, this is a request as we want our children and families to live in a clean and hygienic environment. Thank you.
