The foot path is raised and a trip hazzard

When the tree were being cut recently we spoke to the tree surgent who stated that the root was pushing the foot path up causing it to raise and multiply people have tripped over this, some have had some minor injuries too.

This has been getting worse over the last couple of years and has not become dangerous.
