Large bush preventing fence being erected

Reported via mobile in the Private property category anonymously at 12:10, Tuesday 11 July 2023

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4773978.

At the rear of my property, behind the boundary line of my garden into the woods, there is a tree on your land which was overhanging my fence. Not a problem until I now need a new fence and in order to install it, the large bush must be removed. It is not within my boundaries. My garden overlooks the woods. Please remove it at the rear of 30 BEVERLEY AVENUE SIDCUP KENT DA15 8HE so I can get a fence up. At the moment I am very vulnerable as I live alone am 67 years of age and have assisted collection with my bins with the council. I need a secure fence there asap and the large bush is preventing this. Thank you Laraine Kempster

  • Shows how much the council take note of this fix my street. They've done work right by this problem but have ignored it.

  • Usual disgraceful ignorance from Bexley Council failing to do their job I, as a pensioner, had to pay £150 for someone to remove the bush which was preventing work being done to my fence.

  • Council still not bothered. I put official complaint in and Council said they sent someone round and didn't see a problem. No course they didn't because I paid £150 to someone to do the job the council should have done. If you would have seen the email they sent me you would have laughed at the contradictions in the letter like " council tax is not paid for services by the council, but for things like collecting refuse and street cleaning" It would be comical if it hadn't have cost me £150!
