Cut down tree that is still growing that is also growing through the pavement which is causing trip hazards for both young and old people, it has also caused a blind spot when reversing off of my drive

Reported via mobile in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 08:36, Tue 13 June 2023

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4664758.

This has been like this ever since you decide that it should be cut down, which is at least 3 years now maybe even more The stump is at least 3foot high if not more. It causes blind spot when reversing from my drive. It is now growing through the pavement causing trip hazard, especially to those who are frail and may have sight impairments. This is outside my home of 45 Berwick Crescent.

  • All that has been addressed is cutting away the overgrown branches. The problem will still be there when it grows back, the stump needs removing and the roots taking out from the public pavement to.prevent all trip hazards. Why would it be left like this when you the council decided it needed cutting down in the first place.

    Poor management on this.

  • The answer that you provided was to cut it away. Since then it has grown back and the ongoing issue still remains. A long term solution is required, remove the stump completely, a short term fix isn't going to resolve this.
