Borders to pathway between 156 and 158 maylands drive

Reported via desktop in the Shrubs and Hedge category anonymously at 17:06, Monday 15 May 2023

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4557556.

These hedges and verges have not been trimmed for at least 8 months. They were confirmed as covered by the contract last year but always get missed. The weeds and shrubs are massively overgrown and are actually now damaging my boundary fence and causing damage to my property.

  • Bushes continue to grow and are now pushing my fence out of shape. These dry bushes also form a clear fire risk in dry weather. One stray cigarette butt and these borders will catch fire. It's also becoming difficult for pedestrians using footpath to pass

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Still Bexley council and London and Quadrant pointing at each other for responsibility. Between 2007 and 2021 it was never a problem. All trimmed and maintained monthly. I will not let this issue go as its causing damage to my fence.
