Rubbish Bins

Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning and litter category anonymously at 15:42, Thursday 30 March 2023

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4377914.

Hi

I litter pick between the bowling alley/war memorial along Methuen Road & Albion Road almost to Central Library.

That stretch is littered every day with predominantly take away packaging, cigarette & vaping paraphernalia, & alcohol bottles of all types. I’m certainly not condoning people dumping their rubbish in the street (as I pick it up). However, we’re not giving people the opportunity to dispose of it responsibly as there are no rubbish bins along that whole stretch. There is one at the war memorial & another by the library.

Would it be possible to have some rubbish bins along the route please? Given where most of the rubbish is dropped may I suggest one is located by the area of grass between 1 Hawthorn Road & Albion Road, & another half way along Methuen Road.

Thank you.
