Abandoned vehicle in dangerous position
Reported via Android in the Abandoned and untaxed vehicles category anonymously at 11:13, Sat 18 March 2023
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4327843.
Grey merc has been parked on on a tee junction since at least 1/1/23. It is locked and when I last checked DVLA it had tax. Front number plate is missing a digit. RNS tyre flat. Main road is 1:10 hill Upper Park Road and cars go fast up and even faster down. Those turning heading downhill cannot see anything in the side road Regents Square until last minute. Cars turning left or right out of Regents Square cannot see those zooming up or down. An injury - or fatal - accident is inevitable due to the dangerous position of this vehicle. Someone else reported this few weeks ago and no update since. I told a passing council warden (686?) two weeks or so ago who said he would deal, but no ticket for obstruction issued and no change. Reported to police who are not interested and referred me to council despite car having tax disc. Please can someone do something?

Police have attended but claim to be unable to do anything. Council seem to be similarly uninterested / unwilling. I will write to my local councilor and MP. If you are interested please do so as well.

Police and council seem to be unable or unwilling to do anything, so offending vehicle remains in situ endangering Road users as it has done for over for months. Guess I will have to write to local councilor and MP. Please can anyone else interested do so as well.

Police again declined to do anything. However, vehicle disappeared same evening police told us that - presumably taken by a "roving scrap metal collector".
