Water meter covered over by Bexley Council
Reported via desktop in the Utility equipment category anonymously at 10:53, Tue 7 February 2023
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4210783.
Following the completion of the new build properties, Bexley Council arranged for contractors to lower the pavements next to each driveway. In doing this, at least one of the Thames Water meter covers has been covered in tarmac (outside number 4 Bedensfield Terrace). Thames Water will not correct the issue though they have agreed to mark the pavement to indicate the location of the meter.

We are still waiting on response to this matter. It has been 6 months since this matter was reported and since then Thames Water have increased our monthly payments due to an estimation. They obviously cannot read the meter as it is completely covered. This is resulting in us spending more money than is likely necessary.
I would greatly appreciate an update on this problem as soon as possible.
