Constant surface water from rainfall on Church Road
Reported via mobile in the Flooding in the road category anonymously at 07:54, Monday 9 January 2023
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 4103021.
There is a constant problem with excess rainwater left from poor drainage when it’s rained. I attach photographs of this, taken directly outside our property. As you’ll see the water overflows across the whole pavement onto our property so it is impossible often to leave the house on foot as you get soaked. This is also having an impact on our front brick wall where over the course of time the constant water spray is eroding the cement and therefore the stability of the wall which I’m sure you’ll agree is a concern to pedestrian’s. Furthermore now there are a couple of potholes just along from our property, no doubt as a result of where the water doesn’t drain, has frozen in the cold temperature and then cracked the road.
I would appreciate for this issue to be looked into and addressed for the safety and accessibility of all.
