No street cleaning since last autum
Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning and litter category anonymously at 15:04, Fri 29 July 2022
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3716534.
No one is cleaning the street. I am the only person who has swept the road and path between 15 and 19 Walsham Close, otherwise the rain water drain would grill still be blocked with last year's leaves. But the mess currently is from this year's cherry stones, which are a hazard to people who may slip on them. This is also very prevalent on the path leading to the bridge slopes over the canal. The reason I decided to complain today is because yesterday morning I saw the street cleaner in his vehicle literally zoom in and zoom out of the estate without stopping or cleaning, as I left to go out.

Please: When will you clean the street and paths outside 16, 17, 18 and 19 Walsham Close SE288ND? Your lazy operatives have both driven straight past it in the last 7 days, despite my stopping the second one, they didnt do their job.

Still not been fixed, apparently the road and pavement are 'no-mans land'. Both Peabody and Bexley street operatives disclaim as their responsibility. Im an OAP and I shouldnt have to clean leaves away from the street-water drain to stop it fouling every year. Pavement outside no's 16, 17 and 18 an looks like the bloody Soweto, sick of it, sick of living art the shit end of the street, and sandwiched between two neighbours who dont give a damn about the filthy state of their property fronts either, dumped cars (10 years) with flora growing out the bumpers, and covered in algae. Food waste and plastic containers strewn everywhere, its depressing.

I swept the pavement but the road still hasn’t been swept, and given the time of year will need visiting on a regular basis or else the storm drains will clog again.
