Streamway, stream overgrown

Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 22:56, Monday 27 June 2022

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3629036.

The stream… yes there is a stream somewhere in those first photos… has become completely overgrown. Yes one side can be kept long for wildlife, but the other side of the stream (the park side) should be cut right back. The dogs used to love going into the stream especially in summer, but now can barely see it. The long grass, nettles and weeds in this bank are starting to pull the willow trees down which will kill them. Under the trees so much broken branches and other debris has fallen into the stream that it stops flowing and becomes stagnant with countless flies living there on the manky water. This needs to be address and returned to the lovely stream it was last summer
