Over hanging tree branches

Reported via desktop in the Private property category anonymously at 11:51, Tuesday 31 May 2022

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3563762.

The branches of this tree over hangs be at least 6 foot, i have seen 2 men attempting to climb the tree which over looks our property, when i shouted they quickly decamped. Said tree is killing our grass and plants as it shading the area so even if it rains, its still dry. The whole area where the trees are is disgusting full of rubbish, empty alcohol bottles, cans etc, and I have seen Rats in this area. My concern is that someone will again attempt to climb up the tree then into our garden, therefore I respectfully request that the Council surveys this matter, and take action to cut back the over hanging branches, and clear the over grown weeds etc.

  • I think it is disgusting, have heard back from the council since I submitted my complaint. Apart from the over hanging trees, weeds, this is a general dumping area for all sorts of rubbish. The council are very quick in putting up all their charges, but very very slow in doing anything. Even though I’ve reported people climbing up the trees, nothing has been done. Said trees are killing off the garden.

  • I have complained about this area for over two years. It’s become a general dumping area especially during covid lock downs and the strikes by the refuse collector’s. But I am mostly complaining about the over grown trees and other bushes. It’s obvious the council takes absolutely NO pride in the area and residents have to suffer. Totally disgusting!!!!!!!!

  • Yet again the council has failed to respond to any communications that I have sent. The over hanging branches, weeds are killing our gardens. It’s an abdication of responsibility, the council plant the trees, bushes etc, then fail to up keep them. Typical ostrich syndrome, sticking their heads in the sand in hope it will go away.
