Removal of 31 mature trees from Boys and Girls Hall DA51LX

Reported via desktop in the Private property category by David Harrison-Putnam at 16:12, Monday 16 May 2022

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3529618.

I should be grateful to learn the reason for the Council felling 31 mature trees on the private property of the Boys and Girls Hall. This appears to be adverse to environmental protection which the Council purports to be a proud achievement. Please also explain what the unsightly tree stumps have not been removed.

This action has seriously caused the appearance of the approach to Bexley Village to resemble an urban wasteland which is not exactly aesthetically pleasing. The traffic noise has increased and likewise so will pollution.

To rectify this situation does the Council Intend to replace the trees with suitable hedging or is it the responsibility of the private landowner? If the former I suggest reparation work begins without delay.

I look forward to receiving a prompt response.
