Uneven paving
Reported via desktop in the Damaged pavement category anonymously at 10:25, Tuesday 3 May 2022
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3497621.
I wish to advise you that on Monday 25th April I got off a bus at the stop in Elm Road Sidcup just before traffic lights at the Junction with Main Road Sidcup when I fell tripping on an uneven paving slab. I fell heavily on my right side injuring my elbow, top of right arm, hip and took skin off side of knee as well as slitting my jacket sleeve. I was in a lot of pain. Several people stopped and helped me. I attended Queen Mary’s Hospital the following day and had X-Rays taken to see if anything broken. The fracture clinic phoned me to advise my arm muscle/soft tissue damage could take up to six weeks to heal. I obviously have a lot of bruising. I am 79 years old and live alone so this has shaken me up and been very upsetting. Please ensure that no-one else has this traumatic experience.
