Blocked drain
Reported via mobile in the Blocked rainwater gulleys category anonymously at 00:07, Sat 9 April 2022
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3447706.
For the second time in a week, the road outside my shop has filled up like a bath due to a blocked drain. I had to close my business early on Wednesday due to the inlet of water. This is an ongoing issue that the council are fully aware of - but nothing has been done to clear it, and no one has had the curtesy to reply to my emails or phone calls.

Just seen that the recent ‘shower’ has the drain outside my shop overflowing AGAIN! This drain was apparently cleaned last week ….. obviously there is more to this problem than just a quick clean can solve…. Please sort this problem ASAP!

This issue has not been effectively managed. The stench as you walk by these various drains confirms this is a health and safety issue and as this is ongoing it is going to have a serious detrimental affect on local businesses. The investigation should have been completed by now. If the Council was a private company who were not rectifying the issue, it would be a totally different scenario. It's not impossible to investigate, and Bexley Council should just get on with it.
