Good Morning,
I would like to complain about the business operating in the building next to my house. Local Building Supplies 2a Oxford Road in Sidcup.
The owners of the business refuse to take verbal complaints seriously, and because I am the only person allegedly complaining they obviously deem I am in the wrong.
They park their forklift truck on the street even though it isn’t road legal vehicle. They leave their oversized commercial vehicles parked out on the street overnight rather than parking them in their yard or over the drop kerb onto their premises. They have started storing items on the roof of the premises and now permit customers and workers onto this roof area which looks directly into several rooms in my property and overlooks my private garden area. They also leave mess and rubbish all around the outside of their property which is then crushed into the road and onto the pavement it’s generally unsavoury behaviour.
I have spoken with them several times and received replies such as ‘this conversation is over’ and ‘don’t tell us what we can and can’t do’ so now I have no alternative but to escalate this and try to seek assistance in resolving this.
I have verbally complained 4 times in the year since I moved to Oxford Road and I have twice complained in writing. To their credit on 15th October when I complained they did for a short while maintain the street nicely and refrain from leaving the vehicles out. However on the weekend I saw people on the roof and I cannot and will not have that, the storing of eyesore building materials on roof is bad enough without this complete utter invasion of privacy.
Please could you point me in the direction of the right department or someone I can speak to re my concerns.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks
Andy
