Extensively vandalised grass verges on Hurst Road

Reported via desktop in the Damage to grass verges category anonymously at 15:40, Friday 14 January 2022

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3241014.

The grass verges on the north side of Hurst Road outside Chislehurst and Sidcup school are extensively worn by parked vehicles and the roots of the street trees are damaged. Why has Bexley council allowed this vandalism to persist for many years and when is action going to be taken to stop it and restore the verge? This behaviour sets a very bad example to students who are given the impression that it is acceptable to vandalise the public realm. I have reported this fault to the council three times in the past two years but the reports have been closed with no action being taken.
