Poor road quality a danger to road users

Reported via desktop in the Damaged road category anonymously at 17:31, Sun 24 October 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3081615.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to ask for your council regarding a road issue.

As you may see from the attached picture, around the manhole the road was never covered with tarmac only some cheap concrete. I've only lived here for 3 years and it just getting worse. I ride a motorcycle and it's incredibly difficult to set off or park up. I've asked my landlord but I'm not sure how much he can do. It's incredibly dangerous and if I should slip and lose control of my bike a simple drop will cause several thousand Pounds of damage. That's a piece of public road, no sign suggests otherwise. Please fix it. Alternatively please advise if I should elect to pay for having those few square meters repaved if I can be reimbursed for the expenses. I would like to use my motorcycle but I do not feel safe leaving my parking spot anymore.

Yours faithfully, Istvan
