Not sufficient light in the dark hours when passing the stairs

Reported via mobile in the Light in park or open space category anonymously at 21:33, Thursday 7 October 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3048947.

I live at 159 Frobisher Road.

That is the end of Frobisher Road.

There are stairs that lead to the new development area.

The stairs are very dark in the evening and at night time. There is no sufficient street lighting. There was one lamp post but is not functioning now

Also the branches of the bushes need to be trimmed so the stairs to be more visible in the darkness.

Currently it's very scary and unsafe in the dark to pass these stairs ( especially for a lady).

I would ask the council to provide sufficient street lighting and maybe trim the trees and bushes so to make this passage more visible and safer.

Thanks

  • The stairs next to my block are still dangerously unlit during the evening hours.

No one has taken any actions to trim the trees and the bushes and to provide better lighting.
