Overgrown hedges
Reported via desktop in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 14:01, Fri 1 October 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3036182.
The footpath outside of 32A Mayplace Road East is partially blocked by the garden hedge that contains rose branches at face height, this constitutes a danger to pedestrians trying to walk past, either from the hedge, or going onto the roadway so's to avoid the danger. Outside 74 Mayplace Road East the garden hedge has overgrown to such an extent that conjoined with the street furniture it's near impossible to pass without having to venture onto the roadway. & both these issues are a continuing problem that have been reported previously on numerous occasions. Kind regards MBC

The general consensus is, it doesn't matter how many times an issue is reported, very little ever happens. & if anything does actually happen it takes forever for any positive action to take place. My last complaint about a collapsed cable cover on the footpath took 3 years to be fixed. No! That isn't a misprint, it took 3 years.
