Ramped staircase going over Belvedere station has no lighting or yellow reflective strips
Reported via mobile in the Lamp post category anonymously at 09:51, Fri 1 October 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3035437.
There is a ramp with steps that goes over Belvedere station (separate to the stair case) that has no lighting and is very dark at night times. There are also no yellow reflective strips to mark the steps. A family member of pension age tripped and fell over one of the steps at night which caused a bad cut above their eye. The current set-up is a trip hazard to health and safety. I believe suitable & sufficient control measures are needed to reduce the risks including lighting and yellow reflective strips to mark the steps. I would be grateful if this can be looked into please. Thanks.

I also notice this incident recently occurred outside Belvedere station further highlighting the need for safety (including around light) to be improved in that location: https://news.met.police.uk/ news/ update-man-arrested-in-connection-with-belvedere-murder-434402
