Substantial litter along the grass verges the length of the road

Reported via mobile in the Street cleaning and litter category anonymously at 09:08, Wed 15 September 2021

Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 3002008.

This is the second time in 2 weeks I’m reporting this problem, as apparently it has been resolved… by who, Stevie Wonder?! There is still a ridiculous amount of general litter, glass bottles and dog poo in bags along the length on Perry street in the grass verges on both sides of the road. This also continues on the pavement and roadside of Mayplace Road East (from the junction of Perry street).

This has most definitely not been cleaned or resolved and clearly needs to be litter picked by personnel, not by sending a road sweeper to do the kerb channels and nothing else.

Council tax rises year on year with bexley council, yet the service the council provides to their residents declines year on year! The area is fast becoming an unattractive dump and this will only get worse when people see litter strewn about and think it’s ok to do it themselves!

Litters never seen in Bexleyheath high street is it.. why, because bexley council want people to go there to spend money. So it’s ok for council tax paying residents to see this rubbish daily and have to explain to young children that it’s not ok to litter.. yet that is all they see everyday on the way to and from school!
