Cars parking and driving onto pavements
Reported via desktop in the Obstructions on pavements and roads category anonymously at 13:50, Sat 7 August 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2920573.
We work in one of the shops along Bexley Road and are constantly having cars driving up onto the pavement to park outside nearby shops. Many a time when leaving the shop we have had to watch out for cars that have mounted and are driving along the pavement. This is an ongoing issue and am concerned for elderly people leaving our store and not seeing a car that is trying to park on the pavement.

Getting worse. Our post outside our shop has since been hit and is now a hazard as it is coming out of the pavement. Today we have witnessed at least 3 cars driving through this post and onto the pavement .

Another driver hit the pole this week! Was confronted and ended up arguing with staff. Drivers still using pavement as a car park! Not caring about pedestrian's going so far as to use car horns to get people to move so they can park up. Would help if bollards could be put on the pavement so cars could not mount the pavement and park.
