Growth around base of trees outside 17 &13 Knoll Road
Reported via mobile in the Street category anonymously at 09:28, Thu 15 July 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2866093.
When trying To leave The Close into Knoll Road in a vehicle the growths around trees obscures fast moving Oncoming traffic making it dangerous to proceed as vision is badly impaired. Also, vehicles proceeding along Knoll Road towards The Close ( often too fast) brake heavily when they pass the trees and see a vehicle trying To leave The Close. It is an accident waiting To happen. The base of trees have not been cut back this season.

The growth around thew bottom trees outside number 17 Knoll road is seriously restricting the view of oncoming traffic coming from the direction of Sidcup hill along Knoll Road. This makes it extremely difficult to safely drive from The Close into Knoll Road. Vehicles approach at speed and brake heavily when they see at the last minute a vehicle trying to leave The Close. Drivers of vehicles leaving The Close have to encroach into knoll Road before they Arte able to see any oncoming traffic. it is very dangerous and an accident waiting ti happen. the foliage also restricts the view of pedestrians trying to cross Knoll Road at that point. There is a primary school in Knoll Road near this point and many parents/children crossing the road. The road crossing patrol that was in place and might alleviate this pedestrian issue was removed sometime ago and not replaced. I have already reported this problem once but nothing has been done.

This issue has still not been fixed and is a road safety hazard to vehicles and pedestrians. There is a school just meters from the hazard with children and parents crossing. Will it take an accident before something is done?
