Overgrown verges to knee height
Reported via mobile in the Damage to grass verges category anonymously at 12:11, Monday 28 June 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2823561.
Overgrown verges now to knee height. Appreciate council are trying to pass off as encouraging ‘natural’ habitat but on residential roads verges it categorically is not - just dog crap, dumping of items (household, tipping, gas cannisters, drug paraphernalia (nb I will not be putting my hand in to pick up dog mess), masks, car bits, etc). The seeds, spores, are also danger to our animals, both for housing ticks & if they get spines in their ears, eyes, paws (as a Risk Manager I would seek recompense from council for any loss in this regard in their dereliction of duty of care!). When can we expect services we pay for to be carried out?

London Borough of Bexley It is a bloody disgrace everywhere with pathetic excuses being given or none. Have reported ours in Luddesdon Road several times & Fix my Street, no response! - dangerous to pets eyes/ear/paws due to grass seeds, drug/gas bottle/bottles/car bits/other general rubbish being dumped/concealed, can’t exit cars when verge is roadside, dangerous when driving as cannot see round overgrown areas & roundabouts as restricted view now knee length, full of sh*t (& I’m def not putting my hand in when I can’t c what’s in there to pick up mine!) - come on we pay for this service, buck up London Borough of Bexley. Next excuse will be the machines cannot cope with the length or amount!
