Dangerous van needing removal immediately
Reported via desktop in the Abandoned and untaxed vehicles category anonymously at 19:46, Sunday 13 June 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2788926.
This van has been reported countless times now by multiple people. Council using the excuse of its MOT/Taxed so they can't touch it, however its now a real danger to the public and needs to be removed as a matter of urgency. As others report people are coming along and removing parts from the vehicle in the early hours of the morning, so clearly dodgy. This vehicle has also been reported to the local safer neighbourhood teams & MET police as a dangerous abandoned vehicle.
If this continues who knows what will happen next, whether it will continue to lose parts, and someone hurts themselves, or god forbid it gets set fire to, and then the council will have to pay out for any damage to the nearby house on the corner of Ightham Road/Eastry that would ensue from the fire.
It is in your best interests as a council to get this removed immediately before it gets worse and you're held accountable for it.
Do the right thing Bexley Council!

This van has now been filled with rubbish including doors, windows and other debris. It is as if somebody has just fly tipped junk inside it. The side access door has also been left open for at least 2 days now (including over night). Three flat tyres, broken door lock/handle to passenger side door, plus parts hanging off underneath. No headlights or front grill. This vehicle is NOT roadworthy and many residents are concerned it has just been dumped despite supposedly having tax and mot.
