Continued problem with litter on Wren Road
Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning and litter category anonymously at 10:51, Wed 26 May 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2750171.
As the bin in front of Roberts shop was removed by the Serco operative, there is even more litter on Wren Road. As reported before, this ends up in the gardens of 41 and 43. A litter pick is required and while they are doing it, they should really come onto the drives of the houses opposite to pick up what has blow in!

After almost 2 months we are still waiting for the bin to be replaced. These bins are just moulded plastic bolted to the ground and would therefore take less than an hour to replace. This is the main bin for the Lewis road shops and has to cope with the numerous visits to the shops by schoolchildren and adults. The one around the corner, when used, is often overflowing. Can we please a have an answer as to when this bin will be replaced.

It is now over 7 days since I posted my question and I was under the impression the council would respond within 5 days if I gave my email address. This has not happened. I politely ask why?

The bin outside Roberts Store has been replaced now. And even though rubbish is being dragged out the bins on a regular basis by foxes (because of what is put into t he bins!), I did watch a litter pick being done this morning at the same time they were emptying the bins.
