Dangerous driving speeding that will kill a person
Reported via desktop in the Other street defect category anonymously at 18:04, Tue 11 May 2021
Sent to London Borough of Bexley less than a minute later. Report ref: 2719970.
I have previously enquired about speed bumps being installed in Harcourt Avenue nothing has been done so far I know the last year has been trying for everybody but if this issue is not addressed someone is going to be Killed in Harcourt Avenue .night and day we are subjected to cars speeding up and down the road it is only a matter of time before someone is knocked down or worse even leaving our drives is dangerous take your life into your hands the amount of times squealing brakes ate needed as getting onto the road itself is dangerous .i think it is time this problem is addressed especially as other roads in the area have speed bumps and they are no where near as busy as Harcourt Avenue could you pleas try and put bumps in Harcourt before the inevitable happens

It seems it will take an accident or fatality before tfl or police will do something which god forbid if it happens I will err minding them both of their attitude toward a dangerous road that needs calming and quickly

Our local councillors have been in touch with tfl but have been fobbed off as usual we need something done and quickly before an accident occurs as this road is a joke especially at night it’s like a race track we really need something done and soon

Still no speed calming in harcourt avenue don’t suppose it’s even been looked at this is now ridiculous for years residents have asked for this to be addressed so we won’t be holding our breath for a resolution to this dangerous avenue

I witnessed an accident on harcourt on the 11th June the person again was speeding down our road the only lucky thing was that the couple living on our road didn’t have their baby in the car at the time. I witness an accident several years ago with the young boy being airlifted to hospital and raised a complaint to the council and being told our road isn’t the most dangerous and is not wide enough to have bumps, but the issue is we are used as a short cut as well when Penhill is closed which we all dread every time. This road should be marked as 20mph with humps as there are many children living on this road and it’s an accident waiting to happen for someone to lose their lives.
